Keepssy — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 28 August 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Keepssy ("Keepssy," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects your information when you use the Keepssy website, application, and related services (collectively, the "Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Who We Are
Keepssy is a trading-journal and analytics platform that allows you to connect your trading accounts using read-only credentials, import your trading history, and view journals, statistics, and analytics about your own trading activity. Keepssy is operated from the State of Kuwait.
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or your data, you can contact us at support@keepssy.com.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information:
a) Information you provide to us:
- Account information — your email address, username, and password when you register. Your account password is stored in a securely hashed (irreversible) form; we never store it in plain text.
- Trading account connection details — where you connect a trading account, you provide read-only ("investor") credentials and related details (such as the account number and broker server). These are used solely to retrieve your trading history. Read-only investor credentials that we store are held in encrypted form.
- Communications — information you provide when you contact us for support or otherwise communicate with us.
b) Information generated through your use of the Service:
- Trading data — the trade history, positions, statistics, and related data retrieved from the trading accounts you connect.
- Usage data — information about how you interact with the Service, such as pages viewed, features used, activity timestamps, and last-seen/session information.
- Device and technical data — information such as your IP address (which may be stored in hashed form), browser type, device type, and similar technical information, collected automatically when you use the Service.
c) Information from third parties:
- Trading platforms and brokers — we retrieve your trading history from the third-party trading platforms and brokers you choose to connect, using the read-only credentials you provide.
- Payment provider — when you purchase a paid subscription, our payment provider provides us with limited information needed to manage your subscription (see Section 5).
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service, including retrieving and displaying your trading history and analytics;
- Create and manage your account and authenticate you;
- Process your subscription and payments;
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests;
- Monitor, analyze, and improve the Service, including its performance, features, and security;
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, abuse, or violations of our Terms;
- Send you service-related communications (such as account, security, or billing notices); and
- Comply with our legal obligations.
4. How Your Trading Credentials Are Handled
The read-only ("investor") credentials you provide to connect a trading account are used only to retrieve your trading history for display within the Service. Read-only credentials that we store are held in encrypted form. These credentials are read-only by nature and do not permit placing trades, transferring funds, or making withdrawals.
Authorized personnel may access account data where necessary to operate the Service, provide support, resolve technical issues, ensure security, or comply with legal obligations — consistent with standard practice for online service providers. We limit such access to what is reasonably necessary for those purposes.
5. Payments
Paid subscriptions are processed by our third-party payment provider, Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase. When you make a payment, your payment card and billing details are collected and processed directly by Paddle in accordance with Paddle's own privacy policy. We do not store your full payment card number or card security code. We receive from Paddle only the limited information needed to manage your subscription (such as your subscription status, plan, and billing period).
You can review Paddle's privacy policy at: https://www.paddle.com/legal/privacy
6. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following limited circumstances:
- Service providers — with third parties who help us operate the Service (such as our hosting provider, email provider, and payment provider), who are permitted to use the information only to provide services to us.
- Public features you enable — if you choose to make certain information public (for example, through a public profile, leaderboard entry, or shareable link), that information will be visible to others. These features are off by default and only apply to information you deliberately choose to share.
- Legal requirements — where required to comply with applicable law, legal process, or a lawful government request, or to protect our rights, safety, or property, or that of our users or the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, where information may be transferred as part of the transaction.
7. Data Retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information associated with the account, except where we are required or permitted by law to retain it. Some information may remain in backups for a limited period before being overwritten.
8. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption of sensitive stored data (such as read-only trading credentials) and hashing of account passwords. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you;
- Correct inaccurate information;
- Request deletion of your information;
- Object to or restrict certain processing; and
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
You can access and update much of your information directly within your account settings, and you may delete your account at any time. To make any other request, contact us at support@keepssy.com. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
10. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the Service, keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Service is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of the Service.
11. International Data Transfers
Keepssy is operated from Kuwait, and the third-party providers we use may process data in other countries. Where your information is transferred to and processed in a country other than the one in which you reside, we take steps to ensure it is handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.
12. Children's Privacy
The Service is not intended for anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.
13. Third-Party Links and Services
The Service may contain links to, or integrate with, third-party websites and services (such as trading platforms, brokers, and our payment provider). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies.
14. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including when the Service or applicable law changes. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Privacy Policy.
